Video Game Testing – The Forgotten Attribute

Really there are two types of people telling others about becoming a video game tester. There are the people that are telling you that this job is going to turn you into Bill Gates. They are saying that all you are going to have to do is sit at home play a couple of games every now and then, and you are going to be able to quit your job. After you quit your job, you are going to be making more money than you were before. These people honestly do not care about you; they are only trying to sell you their affiliate products.

Then there is the other type of person. They usually are not telling you that it is a scam because really it is not; people are making money testing video games. What they are saying is that you can make money, but you are going to have to work very hard to supply just a small stream of income. This is true! You will make money, but certainly not enough to quit your regular job. Now of course if you use this as a stepping stone to becoming a video game designer you can make a nice salary. You can read my other article to learn more about that, but that is not what this article is about.

This article is about the great aspect of video game testing that no one is telling you about! Now the money that you are making is a benefit yes, but for the people that do not have the time to spend eight hours a day playing video games, you still can be a video game tester, and make the money you spend signing up worth it. I think Elite Game Tester costs 40 dollars to sign up for, but it is well worth the money.

This forgotten bonus of video game testing is the free video games! Yes, I know it sounds simple, but you would be surprised at how many people forget about it. These companies will send you free games that have not even came out yet. You can just play it an hour or two a day and tell them what you like about it. Do not forget you will also have to look for bugs and give tips for making the game better, but still the game is free! You are literally getting paid to play free video games that are not even out yet. This alone is worth paying the 40 bucks for signing up.
